The Austerlitz Trail takes place in the State Forests around the KNVB Campus on the Utrecht Hill Ridge. The routes extend to the border of the Bornia nature reserve and pass through mixed forests, old avenues, clearings, heathland, and some single tracks. Three different loops of approximately 10 km each have been set out, with the start and finish at the central basecamp on the grounds of the KNVB Campus in Zeist. This weekend, participants can choose to run 1, 2, or 3 loops, with refreshment stations available after each loop.
Highlights
- The routes run through the State Forests, up to the border with the Bornia nature reserve, and offer a beautiful surrounding area.
- Participants enter the forest through specially opened gates, with all loops fully marked with arrows and ribbons.
- Aid stations are available after each loop at the start/finish location, and participants are asked to bring their own race cup.
